Dad's Dream, Mom's Nightmare!


Today it happened. E spontaneously began playing hockey. We have no idea where he came up with this, but, out of the blue, his baseball bat became a hockey stick and he began careening into walls, falling all over the floor and repeatedly saying "ah-key." Henrik has assured me that he hasn't been secretly teaching hockey skills behind my back. I guess we'll blame the "Little People" book which has a sports page, including a hockey player.

Since before we were married, I told Henrik that we would never have hockey players (NOT my favorite sport to say the least!). I guess I may live to eat those words!

Carrie, we're right there with you! We're not wild about the hockey prospect either. They each have a hockey stick (presents) and know exactly what to do with it. Adam's theory is to never teach the boys how to ice skate - we'll see if we can hold that off...
