Our exciting adventure for today was supposed to be a walk to the playground with Cousin T and Auntie S. However, the playground time was cut short when E took a tumble and bit through his lip. He was a brave little trooper, and would have been much happier if we would have just let him keep playing, but I thought we better find out if he needed stitches.
At our first appointment, the doctor thought stitches were necessary and she sent us from the Apple Valley clinic to the ER at Children's Hospital in St. Paul. So we checked in on N (happily hanging out with auntie and cousin), and then headed up 35E to St. Paul.
By the time we met with the doctor, about 3 hours had passed since the accident. The cut was looking much better (thanks in part to Erik sucking on his pacifier!) and the ER doc thought it would be fine to leave it alone - sparing E the trauma of another round of stitches. What a relief!
All in all, it proved to be quite an adventurous day. We always thank the Lord for keeping our boys safe, but tonight we are just extra thankful!

Hi Carrie! I am so glad you have a blog! Great pictures of the boys, thanks. You know I think and pray for you all the time.
Hugs.
Hey Carrie! Nice to see you guys in the blog world. I found your link through Michael & Stacy. I hear your little Erik is a busy one - sounds just like our Timothy. All I can say is that life is NEVER dull...
