Great Job E-Man!

During the past month or so, E has experienced another language growth spurt. He’s able to express almost everything he wants to communicate. Some words are still a little tricky to understand, but it’s been so fun hearing everything that’s going on in that little mind of his.
He’s passionate about the Twins right now. MANY times a day we hear, “Baseball time!” Soon the field is laid out and we’ve been recruited to play the role of Joe Mauer, Johan Santana, or Jason Bartlett. Before we get started, however, he needs to have the right equipment. If batting, E wears the light blue Nike cap. If pitching he wears the navy blue Twins cap. If catching, he wears Henrik’s Twins cap, backwards, with the adjustable strap under his nose – that suffices as a catchers mask!
Joe Mauer is his favorite player. Last night when we were getting ready for bed, E walked over to me and said “Me Joe Mauer” and then gave me a big hug and kiss. I asked him if I was Joe Mauer’s mom, and he said “Yep”!
Ok, I have just one more Mauer story that I have to tell: E was using his potty chair the other day. Whenever he is successful at using the potty we clap and cheer (and the potty chair plays music!). This time, when the music started, E shouted, “Mauer Power”! If only Joe knew what a terrific role model he has been for our almost 2 ½ year old!
