The Big Storm

About 3:30 a.m. on Saturday morning Henrik and I sat straight up in bed and knew instantly we needed to grab the boys out of bed. The noise of the wind blowing outside our apartment was louder than any storm we had heard before so we all headed into our tiny bathroom - Henrik, myself, Henrik's mom, Maud, and the boys! After the initial gust, things calmed down to a more typical severe storm and we watched the incredible lightning show for 20 minutes or so before putting the boys back to bed. When we headed outside in the morning, we were shocked at the extent of the damage. It turns out that 80 mph straight line winds blew through and shredded trees all over the area. Some of our neighbors were graced with new lawn ornaments - port-a-potties!

Usch och fy, vad hemskt med alla blixtar och ljudet av vinden som får alla stora träd att välta! Vilken tur att inte jag var där just då! Härligt att ni mår bra i alla fall!:-)
