Twin Cities Marathon

Well, today Henrik completed his 11th marathon and it was a tough one! With temps in the 80's, and incredible humidity, it set the record for the hottest marathon in the 26 year history of the Twin Cities Marathon. In fact, we heard on the news tonight that the directors came within 1.5 degrees of calling off the marathon. (Interestingly, the Chicago Marathon, which was also today, was called during the race.)

We are so proud of Henrik for his endurance and perseverance! Here's a look at our day!

Mile 5 - Watching for Dad . . .

Yelling for Dad!!!

Waving our flag so Daddy can see us!

Mile 10 - Hi Daddy!!

Serving up the Power Gel and Power Bars!

Mile 15 - You doin' OK, Dad?

Mile 22 - Who needs Dad when I've got my Mom!

The breathtaking view at the finish!

E was thrilled to see the fire trucks and even shook hands and visited with the firefighters.

Ok, so I know running a marathon is exhausting, but chasing a marathon runner across the Twin Cities with two little boys is exhausting, too!! (THANK YOU mom and dad for helping me! I couldn't have done it with out you!)

Checking out Daddy's medal.

We are so proud of you and we love you SOOOOO MUCH!

Good job, Henrik! Hey...I was in your guy's old house the other day. It is on the market so I went to take a look and had some warm-fuzzies of games nights past. ;-) Those were the days!
