Well, we are at 35 weeks and so thankful for this healthy, and relatively easy and uneventful, pregnancy. Up until the past week or so, I would have been just fine to wait until 2009 for her to arrive. After all, she is quite easy to take care of tucked away like this. However, my mindset has quickly changed as discomfort and contractions have set in full force.
Thankfully, we are making progress toward the goal of her arrival. For those of you who don't mind these types of details, we are at a "strong 2" and "60% effaced". If that info grosses you out, I apologize!
Regarding a belly shot, seriously, I just can't get myself to post one. We even attempted a pic last night, but after viewing it, I just couldn't post it. Maybe we'll try again. . . Tonight, N TRIED to sit on my lap, but finally, after attempting every different configuration, he just gave up and put his head on my shoulder.
Regarding the boys, E is fascinated with his baby sister and really seems to understand that she is a real person just waiting to meet her big brother. The way he talks to her is amazing. N hasn't been interacting with the baby in my tummy on quite the same level, but has taken on the mothering role to a doll that we have by feeding it, changing its diaper, singing and rocking her to sleep. I'm really starting to sense that one of the most wonderful things about enjoying this little addition to our family will be seeing the boys experience having a baby in our lives. When N was born, E was still pretty much a baby himself (16 months), so this will really be a new experience for our family.
Thank you for your prayers as we continue to wait patiently for the Lord to bring our little girl into the world at just the right time.

What a cute story about Noah trying to find space on your lap! I love how the nursery is turning out. The bedding is adorable and the furniture is perfect in there.
I've been thinking of you alot the past week or so wondering how everything is going. We are anxious to see this little girl, when God allows! She will have 2 awesome big brothers to protect her! Keep us posted!
Poor little N - no place on Mommy's lap! That reminds me of a Berenstein Bear book I've read a million times...
The crib bedding is A-dorable!! And it looks so sharp with the crib. Just a few more weeks now...hopefully they won't CRAWL along. Josiah was born at the end of August and I think it was the LONGEST month I've ever experienced. :) How's that for being really upbeat and encouraging???
Oh Carrie, you are so funny. I can't wait to meet little girl Bjdh and seriously I am only joking about that tummy shot! I think they are highly over-rated! ha ha.
I think I'll be seeing you in REAL life tonight, hopefully!
Wow! You are just moving right along!! Perhaps this little girl will make an early arrival just like her big brothers. We are quite excited to meet her :)
So fun to get an update on your little girl. I'm excited to hear the story of her birth. Thanks for the details about dilation/effacement and stuff. It is fun to know those details from one mom to another. Blessings to you. Also, your nursery is so cute!
