It Worked!

Sometimes I think the Bjorndahl blog comes off a little "happy". You know, "Happy, Happy, Happy. Happy all the time." (A line from a famous Inspiration Point skit!)

Well, we are happy, most of the time, and we certainly praise God for the joy He has given us. But some things in life do not necessarily bring feelings of happiness. One of those things during the past few months has been bedtime. It's been a knock down, drag out fight between two adults and one precious little two year old.

We've tried everything. Great advice from friends and family, SuperNanny ideas, parenting books and websites; you name it we've tried it.

Finally, last night, we found it. The incentive that touched the heart and mind of this little guy. The number 7. A little blue painter's tape on the back of E's pajamas and we were all set. It was a simple little bargain, but it worked. Stay in bed quietly, keep the number 7. Get out of bed or yell to wake up your brother, lose the number 7.

By the way, if your not up on your Twins trivia, the number 7 is worn by Joe Mauer, E's most favorite player. We'll see how tonight goes!
