You need a little background for this movie to make any sense. The best way to explain it is that N is NOT a morning person. We give him plenty of time to "adjust" to the day before getting him out of his crib in the morning. So on his birthday, E and I waited until we had heard him babbling for about 20 minutes and then entered the bedroom to sing Happy Birthday. N's response? Hands over his eyes and a huge "Noooooo!" It was hilarious! Of course I didn't have the video camera with me then, but I thought maybe he'd do the same thing if we tried again. It wasn't nearly as dramatic, but here's my attempt at capturing N's feelings about turning two.
"Ok, maybe this being two thing is going to be alright."
"Cake? Bring on the birthday party!"
"Two's feeling pretty good now!"
