Power Lab!

The big news around here is that Big E just finished his first week of Vacation Bible School!! He made some great friends and learned more about God's Awesome Power through a study of Jesus' miracles. We are so thankful for the faithful leaders and behind the scenes servants who lovingly guided these little ones through their experience!

Even though I didn't get a very good picture of the boys, I wanted to include this picture to give a glimpse of the decorations. The whole church was decked out incredibly.

Here's E with his teacher and a few of the kids in his group. Unfortunately, his best pal, Angel, wasn't able to make it today so we didn't get a picture of E with his special friend. (He has since decided that our little girl should be named Angel!)

Since E was going to be in VBS, N and I decided that it would be a good idea to volunteer in the nursery each morning. Wow, we didn't know what we had gotten ourselves into! Entertaining and supervising MANY toddlers and babies for three hours is no small task. Thankfully, the church has a beautiful facility and with a little creativity, a lot of energy, and a great team, we made it through the week. After the past five days, coming home to my rambunctious 2 and 3 year old seems easy!

Another picture of E and his buddies visiting us in the nursery.

Whew! What a POWERFUL week we had learning more about Jesus at Vacation Bible School!

So fun! How great that you could get right in on this after only being there for such a short time. It's great that you helped out in the nursery - it's such a hard place to find help! No doubt you had a few laughs along the way too!

Sounds like a great time had by all! I was so excited to see your Power Lab decor...we have the same curriculum at our church this summer.
