This is the first time the Bjorndahl family has tackled pumpkin carving! Yes, I'm one of those moms who doesn't like messes, but I'm working on putting fun and memory making before my own aversion to sticky, gooey, yucksville.

Check out E's response to the gooey pumpkin guts! Though he looks like his dad, he's much like me when it comes to getting messy! I lost count of the number of times he asked me to make sure his sleeves were pulled up! Maybe next year we'll make a shirt covering out of a plastic bag so he (and I) can relax and have fun!

N liked the "guts" so much, that once he got them out, he put them back in again so he could do it all over again!

Of course, before carving, we had to begin with a plan. Henrik was in charge of N's and . . .

I was in charge of E's. As you can see, neither of us are very artistic!

E's pumpkin needs some serious dental work.

N's turned out as cute as a button.

"This is TOO MUCH FUN!!!"

"Don't even think about touchin' my pumpkin."

"I LOVE my pumpkin!"

Tonight we put on our costumes and headed out Trick or Treating.
Here's our Little Joe Mauer.

And N dressed up as a Gopher football player.

"Hooray for candy! Happy Halloween!"

I've seen a couple of Henrik's patients look like that pumpkin's teeth after he got his hands on them in the OR. Thank goodness for dental insurance!! Cute pictures. Chris
That's also what they looked like before coming to the OR.
Looks like fun! I love the pumpking pictures and I love their costumes!
Your boys are cute, that's for sure, but Noah would be a lot cuter if he was dressed up as a Hawkeye football player. :-)
I can hardly believe how big the boys are getting. Great pictures!
T liked seeing pictures of his cousins in their costumes. When he saw N, he said, "Look, N has whiskers on!"
Carrie, I hope you post when you head over to the hospital so we can be waiting anxiously (and praying).....
Will H. do any labor updates?
